A social issue that is important to me is the amount of people who are homeless. They do not have a place to live nor a place to eat sometimes. But some people that are homeless live in shelters. Some shelters you never know what happens until you fall asleep and someone sneaks up on you. It is very scary not having a place to support you, especially when your own family denies you.
Put yourselves in their shoes. How you would feel if you were just abandoned like that. We all as a community should be very fortunate that we have a home and family who support us. D.C. has a lot of people who are on the streets begging for money. How they look, and some just lie and say their poor for money. We all should make more shelters with bigger opportunities for homeless people. Put ourselves in their shoes. LASTLY MAKE A CHANGE!!!!!!!

General Bullying
Bullying is a big social issue that effects not only one person but also every one. Bullying is not fair to the person getting bullied. There are three types of bullying : emotional, physical, and cyber. To emotionally bully someone is to call them names and try to make them feel bad about themselves. If a person is going through emotional bullying it could cause a person to develop a low self esteem and cause them to do other things. For example, If a person's self esteem is low and they really don't care about themselves they may try to commit suicide. Not only would the person have been hurt enough to do this but also the family is hurt by this as well.
To be bullied physically can make a person hurt. The body is being bruised and as well as the person is. With enough physical bullying for a long period of time the body could be so hurt one day that the person is rushed to the hospital. They may or may not make it if this does occur, and then again it hurts the person even more and the family will still be hurt. Bullying causes a chain reaction no matter how small or big it is. It could just start out as a joke but once things get started it does not always end that way. More people should start thinking about others instead of acting on a whim or ones own personal opinion.
Cyber bullying is something that can never be earsed. Once, on the internet always on the internet. To have people you may or may not know just writing mean and horrible things about you may hurt alot. There are millions of people on the internet and they could come across what is written on ones page one day and it is there for everyone to see. For example, the movie "Cyberbully" the girl was being cyber bullied by lots of people. Things got so worst she tried to commit suicide one day but her mom and sister got there and stopped her from doing so. Even if you try to earse something it can never happen. All it takes is the push of a button and one could never go back.
For a person to bully another there is an inner conflic that, that person has with themsleves. They may have low self esteem and may try to take it out on others around them. Or maybe a person is going through something bad so they bully someone eles around them to make them selves feel better. Whatever the reason may be the person needs help or attention if they feel the need to bully others. They may just need to talk it out with some one but it can be prevented. There are teens everyday across the country that are getting bullied no matter what the circumstance is. Some try to commit suicide and most who do succed. Others that fail to do so are given another chance at life. But if the bullying keeps occuring even after the attempt they may just try again. Try to keep from bullying others because it is no joke. You may just be holding another persons life in your hands.

Leap Year Pope

Back when Jesus was alive if you were born for the you to became apart of the family the father has to claim you. During a woman's baptism she heard God claim her as his child. And since God has claimed us as his children he has a plan for us. In life to be genuinely happy we have to follow the plan he has for us. We may try many things but we find our path.

Leap Year Pope
The message about the reading was about declaring your own. When the man said this sis my son, he declared that boy was his child/son. Michelangelo drew The Last Judgement. Being that the man was appreciated that every child of God has a pathway.

The message talked about how heavenly being declared Michelangelo his son. That represents how God declares each and every one of us his children.It also says '' Like Jesus, as Gods child I have a destiny. I should do my best to please God as children do their parents.
