In a way Sponge bob and Atlantis are both alike. Atlantis is circular and so is Sponge bob's city. Sponge bob's life represents a sort of carefree and well lived life. Atlantis life was considered a carefree life and that every thing was taken care of. There was never any worries or anything bad happening most of the time. Life for them was nice and easy in most episodes of sponge bob and so was life in Atlantis.
Atlantis was supposed to have sunk under water and the show sponge bob takes place under water. There was even an episode where spongebob and his friends went to Atlantis and it was just like his life; except more advanced. When watching this episode it play's out Atlantis to be the best place ever. And other times when watching spongebob he makes Bikinni Bottom seem like the best.
