Why does Big Ma try to stop Cassie from telling Uncle Hammerabout their day in Strawberry?
Big ma tried to stop Cassie because she knew Uncle Hammer would have tried to kill Mr. Barnett. She knew he had something against Mr. Barnett.
Mama tells Cassie, “Baby, we have no choice of what color
we’re born or who our parents are or whether we’re rich or
poor. What we do have is some choice over what we make of
our lives once we’re here.” What do you think she means by
this?
Mamma means we cannot determine what we look like. If people do not like our skin color we have to deal with it because we cannot change that.Would you rather have Papa or Uncle Hammer as your father?
Why?
I honestly cannot answer that question because I like them both. Therefore that question is a I.D.K. I don't know, I love my father and no one can replace him.
